Cellular rubber is a cost-effective choice
Cellular rubber has a closed/semi-closed cell structure and it seals against air, moisture and water. This material is flexible, porous, cost-effective and easy to use in many product areas, such as seals, draught excluders, insulators and gaskets. In certain applications, it can even replace solid rubber.
A special variety is cellular silicone rubber, which is the optimal choice when conditions include extreme temperatures and aging requirements. This material can withstand temperatures between -70 and + 200°C.
Cellular rubber HSC is semi-closed and extremely soft in order to provide various tolerances in a single gasket/seal. This material is also used for seals in vacuum lifting devices.
